Electro-Optic (EO) MZ Modulator Q Point Ditherless Bias Controller

The MBC-HF bias voltage controller from Plugtech is a non-dither orthogonal point controller designed for Electro-Optic (EO) MZ intensity modulators. By monitoring the laser source and modulator output optical signals, it calculates the modulator’s working point error, ensuring stable operation in the linear region. As this controller's output bias voltage does not include a dither signal, it is especially suited for analog signal modulation applications.
The MBC-HF controller supports serial communication. Users can switch the controller's working mode (automatic/manual), customize the output voltage, read system working parameters, and fine-tune working points via GUI software or by sending standard commands.
